Source Emissions testing Expertise and Experience to meet all of your regulatory, process or engineering needs.

Welcome To The Emissions Test Group

The Emissions Test Group was founded in 2012 by Daryl Zander. ETG provides emissions testing and related services to industry, primarily in Western Canada. ETG strives to provide safe, accurate and efficient emission testing services. We do this by developing long term working relationships with our clients, ensuring that we are familiar with their facilities, processes and needs.

We provides emissions testing to a wide array of industries, including; Petrochemical Refineries, Chemical Manufacturing Plants, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Fiberglass Insulation Manufacturing, Fiberglass Manufacturing, Power Generation, Portland Cement Manufacturing, Gas Processing Facilities, Natural Gas Pipeline Compressors.

ETG provides services like; Manual Stack Surveys, Process Source Emission Surveys, Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA), Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA), CEMS Commissioning Surveys, gas Combustion Turbine Tuning Testing, Air Pollution Control Equipment Efficiency Tests, Performance Guarantee Testing, Method Development and Permit/Approval Support.

Integrity & Safety

Our reputation is on the line. When it comes to safety Zero injuries is always our goal.

Fit for Purpose/Fit for Use Data

As we establish the client’s needs we establish the goal of the project. Knowing the goal means we can provide the more cost effective outcomes.

Developing Relationships

Our motto of “thinking like that client” helps to provide more effective services and long term partnerships

Our Services

Compliance Source Emission Surveys (aka Manual Stack Surveys) To ensure compliance, Manual Stack Surveys are an industry requirement. The Emissions Test Group (ETG) performs these source emission surveys for a wide variety of pollutants using applicable, accepted reference methods. Pollutants routinely measured include; particulate matter, metals, sulphur dioxide (SO2), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen chloride (HCl), chlorine (Cl2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), dioxins (PCDDs), furans (PCDFs), total hydrocarbons (THC), hydrogen sulfide (H2S),

Process Source Emission Surveys
ETG can provide addition, non-mandatory, emission testing used to provide data to optimize process efficiencies.

Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA)
RATA assess the accuracy of continuous emission monitoring systems installed on sources at industrial facilities. Typically RATAs are performed on a semi-annual basis for facilities with CEMS that measure: oxides of nitrogen, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen chloride, total hydrocarbons, stack gas velocity, flow and temperature.

Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA)
CGA assess the accuracy of continuous emission monitoring systems installed on sources at industrial facilities. ETG can supply gases and perform CGA at client facilities for any gaseous monitors.

CEMS Commissioning Surveys
CEMS Commissioning Surveys are completed whenever a new continuous emissions monitoring system is installed. ETG can provide the necessary testing to demonstrate that the CEMS is able to operate and provide data as intended.

Emissions Testing for Gas Combustion Turbine Tuning
In order to minimize emissions and improve efficiency of gas combustion turbine operations, these units are tuned by technicians utilizing NOx, CO and O2 emissions data provided by ETG.

Air Pollution Control Equipment Efficiency Tests
ETG technicians perform test to measure the effectiveness of pollution control equipment installed on industrial processes. Measurements are taken before and after the pollution control equipment to measure the amount of pollutant being removed. Typical tests conducted include: particulate matter removal by baghouses, electrostatic precipitators and wet scrubbers; hydrocarbon removal by oxidizers or carbon beds; gas removal by scrubbers.

Performance Guarantee Testing
ETG can provide testing to demonstrate that emissions for process equipment meet the guarantees established in vendor and manufacturer contracts. Testing is conducted using established guidelines.

Method Development
In order to safely and accurately test emissions from some sources, modifications are required to established testing methods. ETG has the experience to build these customized methods and gain regulatory approval to implement them.

Permit/Approval Support
ETG provides review and advice to facilities on applicability of conditions outlined in the Facility Approval or Permit. Sometimes testing conditions are unfairly onerous, impossible to meet or are unfounded. ETG has the experience and expertise to provide the support required to address these issues.I am text block.
